Critical Art Ensemble explores the intersections between art, critical
theory, technology and political activism. Formed in 1987, the
award-winning collective has exhibited and performed in a variety of
venues internationally, from the street to the museum and the
Internet. Museum shows include the Whitney Museum and The New Museum
in NYC; The MCA, Chicago; Schirn Kunsthalle, Frankfurt; Musée d’Art
Moderne de la Ville de Paris; and The ICA and the Natural History
Museum, London. Books include: Electronic Civil Disobedience & Other
Unpopular Ideas (1996), Flesh Machine: Cyborgs, Designer Babies,
Eugenic Consciousness (1998), Digital Resistance: Explorations in
Tactical Media (2001), Molecular Invasion (2002), Marching Plague
(2006), and the forthcoming Disturbances (2012).

A partnership between Art, Computing, Cultural Studies, and Politics
at Goldsmiths. Organised by Ele Carpenter, MFA Curating, in
partnership with The Arts Catalyst and Four Corners Books.
